Professional carvers begin work around downtown beginning at noon on Friday, January 6, creating art from 300-pound blocks of ice. Festivities continue into the night as fire dancers perform from the alley to Main on East Washington Street from 5 to 8 p.m., with a selection of fiery food and beverage specials from retailers and restaurants to keep visitors warm and well-fed.
Children are invited to come in their royal best for photos on the First Fridays ice throne. And outdoor fire pits perform double duty during the festival, warming guests of all ages and toasting marshmallows, too.
Pizza from Rulli’s on Wheels and sausages with all the fixings from The Weiner Shack & Grill will also provide fuel for the night’s Fire and Ice fun.
