Artists partner with local businesses to share their work with the community during Goshen’s annual Art Tour for November First Fridays.
Exhibits and performances from local artists and musicians will be on display at stores around downtown from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 5. Shoppers are invited to purchase art directly from the makers themselves in time for holiday gift-giving.
Maps denoting tour stops are available on the Downtown Goshen website and at participating retail locations on the night of the event. This self-guided tour of artists’ work will be offered along with a spate of First Fridays in-store promotions.
“Our Art Tour turns Downtown Goshen into a dynamic, one-of-kind gallery for a night, and we love the energy that comes with that!” Adrienne Nesbitt, Event Director, said. “The combination of hosting businesses and participating artists is fresh every year, and we’re grateful that this First Fridays gives these creatives a chance to meet an audience they might not otherwise.”
Among the business and artist pairings planned for the November 5 event are: Adore Decor and miniaturist Jennifer Long; The Imagination Spot and jeweler Caitlin Lanctot; Goshen Brewing Company and ceramicists Trevor Daugherty, Seth Krabill, and Sadie Misiuk; and Irwin Arts Center presenting painter Mark Daniels and multimedia creator Anthony Martinez.
Food trucks from Rulli’s Pizza and the Wiener Shack & Grill will also be on hand, parked in front of the Goshen Theater, providing additional First Fridays food options.
