Celebrate Summer in Downtown Goshen With a Super-Sized First Fridays!

Downtown Goshen kicks off summer with a two-day First Fridays extravaganza, Sidewalk Days, June 3 and 4, because the promise of so much fun and flavor wouldn’t fit into one!

Retailers and restaurants open their doors and move out onto Goshen sidewalks for this First Fridays festival filled with summertime sights and sounds. And just like summer, the Sidewalk Days event offers longer hours: Participating vendors will be open from noon until 9 p.m. on Friday, June 3, and 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.

Favorite First Fridays’ outdoor attractions – children’s activities, food vendors, a beer tent, and live music – return in June, as well. Two days of the best in local music will play out on the First Fridays’ stage throughout Sidewalk Days, with local artists Anna p.s., Brides of Neptune, and Joe Baughman among those scheduled to appear.

“As the weather becomes kinder and the community moves outside to enjoy it, we love that First Fridays can do the same in June,” Director of Events Adrienne Nesbitt said. “Sidewalk Days reflects the excitement we’re all feeling about brighter days and spending time outdoors by meeting our neighbors exactly where they want to be – but with sales and snacks!”

Educational activities for families will be hosted on June 3 by Elkhart County Soil & Water Conservation District and the City of Elkhart’s aquatic biologist, sharing information about local wildlife and regional conservation efforts.
