Not-for-Profit Showcase Guidelines
On the First Friday of every month, throughout the year, downtown businesses and DGI host special events with extended hours, entertainment, and shopping specials. Every month features a special theme with entertainment and activities for the whole family. Hours are from 5 – 9 p.m.
The not-for-profit showcase is intended for information and awareness booths, preferably with an engaging activity such as an art exhibit or kids activity.

The not-for-profit showcase is intended for information and awareness booths, preferably with an engaging activity such as an art exhibit or kids activity. Fundraising efforts such as raffle tickets, t-shirt sales, etcetera are NOT permitted. If you wish to sell food items at your booth, you must apply for a temporary food vendor space.
Non-Proselytizing Policy
Downtown Goshen, Inc. is a 501c3 organization and as such is prohibited from endorsing specific religious or political views.
DGI / First Fridays cannot allow booths or displays designed for the purpose of religious proselytization or political campaigns at its events.
Organizations who participate in the Not-for-Profit showcase must agree that they will not encourage event attendees to adhere to or convert to a particular faith, church, or political persuasion, nor will they distribute messaging designed to induce conversion to a particular faith, support for a candidate or political party.
Dates and Times
First Friday of May, June, July, August, and September, 5 – 9 p.m. Non-profit showcase space WILL NOT be provided outside of these months.
Set up begins at 3 p.m. and tear down begins at 9 p.m. and must be completed by 9:30 p.m. All booths must be set up by 4:30 p.m.
Location
A very limited number of slots will be available as information booths for not-for-profit organizations. This location changes from month to month depending on the event.

Register
Each organization must submit an application for approval. The Event Coordinator will notify you of your status via email. DGI has the right to remove any organization from the site if the organization does not follow the guidelines.
- Non-profit and other public or private entities deemed fitting by the First Friday staff will be assigned booth space on a case by case basis. Spaces are very limited. DGI will prioritize non-profits with a strong involvement or affiliation to downtown Goshen.
- Organizations must request spaces by the second Friday of each month.
- If you reserve a space and are not able to attend, you must call and cancel this space so that it is available for another group no later than 1 week before the event. Organizations that cancel day of or no show may not be invited back.
- There is no charge for a non-profit information space.
Location / Equipment
DGI provides each non-profit organization with a designated 10’ x 10’ space. The organization must provide and set up equipment (tent, tables, chairs, etc). Please note that stakes are PROHIBITED. If you bring a tent, you must bring weights – not stakes – to secure the tent.
Electrical Access
At this time, DGI is unable to provide electricity or internet access to booth participants.
Garbage In – Garbage Out
All materials brought with the organization and all recycling/trash collected during the night must be removed by 9:30 p.m. Each organization must dispose of their own trash or recycling. Any trash left at the NFP organization’s site will be removed at organization’s expense.
Music
NFP organizations must seek prior approval from the First Fridays Coordinator if they want to play music at their location.
