Registration for area owners of Volkswagen bugs and buses is ongoing for VolksFest’s annual VW Showcase, but this year’s event will play out in the heart of Goshen alongside a classic and rare car show rescheduled from July.
The cost of registration is $15 per vehicle. Awards are possible in a variety of categories, but cars must be pre-registered to be eligible.
A complete list of car show rules can be found at Downtown Goshen online.
“We are always grateful to our VolksFest community for sharing these fun vehicles in their signature, big-hearted way,” Adrienne Nesbitt, director of events, said. “But we’re excited for the VW Showcase to mix it up downtown with classic cars and motorcycles of all kinds for an outsized car show with something for everyone!”
Live music from rock-and-folk band McLane & Co. and the Latin-soul fusion sounds of Lalo Cura can be heard throughout the evening’s festivities from the First Fridays Stage beginning at 5:30 p.m. And Goshen Health’s family tent providing a private space for mothers and those caring for young children will be available to visitors again for the evening.
