Downtown Goshen Street Closures
For some First Fridays events, DGI asks the city for permission to close streets to encourage and accommodate more visitors downtown. The following is a list of proposed upcoming closures.

Fire & Ice Festival
Friday, January 5, 2024
East Washington between the alley and Main, noon – 11 pm. 2 parking spots in front 117 East Washington, noon – 11 pm. First 4 parking spots on East Washington (north side of street), 8 a.m. – noon for unloading ice blocks.

Holiday Light Parade

East Washington from the alley to Main, 1 – 11 p.m., Jefferson from 6th to 5th, and 5th from Madison to Jefferson, 1 – 11 pm (Jefferson and 5th intersection OPEN until parade route closure so vehicles can turn west on Jefferson).
Parade route: Staging at 5th and Jefferson, turning west onto Main – north on Main to Clinton, turning east on Clinton to 5th, returning south on 5th to Jefferson.
No parking along parade route, 4 – 9 p.m. Parade route closes at 5:45 p.m.
