If you were planning for some downtime to recuperate and relax from all the myriad holiday festivities, then you might want to change your plans—because, here in Goshen, the fun of First Fridays never rests! For the non-profit organization Downtown Goshen, Inc. and our wonderful First Fridays events—events that are made possible by supporters like YOU—fun, entertaining, FREE, and family-friendly festivities are always the top priority, and 2025 presents another year of non-stop excitement.
Case in point, the upcoming—and incomparable—Fire & Ice Festival, Jan. 3 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Downtown Goshen. Watch and witness in wonder as professional ice carvers transform plain, 300-pound blocks of ice into impossibly intricate pieces of art and time-bound sculptures to decorate and grace downtown. In the evening, from 5-9 p.m., with the magnificent sculptures on display, fire dancers and stunt performers light the backdrop of Goshen’s night sky with performances, stunts, and demonstrations.
Kids can come royally dressed to have their pictures taken sitting on the ice throne or ice sleigh, and Downtown Goshen businesses, retailers, and eating and drinking establishments are prepared to warm up First Fridays revelers with great food, warm drinks, and outstanding shopping deals.
Put some pep in your step because we are starting off 2025 right. Be there for the First Fridays Fire & Ice Festival, Jan. 3, from 5 to 9!
Pyroscope Entertainment and Clark Lewis provide thrilling fire-inspired entertainment at the Fire & Ice Festival, and ice carvers, including Sammy Moore, Danny Bloss II, Matthew Patton, Bud Lies, Howard Busfield, Mike Evans, and Joshua Nivens, bring their incredible ice creations to life.
Participating downtown stores bring the heat during the festival with food and beverage specials and attendees are encouraged to stop in and enjoy hot meals, fiery delights, and sweet treats before heading back out to see the ice sculptures and performances. Kids are invited to appear in their best royal outfits for a picture on the ice throne on the corner of West Washington and Main Streets.
Roast and enjoy a free marshmallow over the toasty outdoor fires, and enjoy shopping at participating downtown merchant locations.
We look forward to seeing YOU at the Fire & Ice Festival on Jan. 3 from 5 to 9! Event details for January First Fridays.
