Shoes have always been a part of Scott Woldruff’s life. His father, Russ Woldruff, opened a shoe store in Ames, Iowa in 1950, and that’s when Scott’s love of shoes soared. By 14 he convinced his father to let him work on the sales floor, he watched as his father measured the foot of each customer and sought out the best fit—even putting them on and lacing them up! In 1992 when Scott opened Woldruff’s Footwear in Goshen, they offered the same customer service as his father had decades before.

Fast forward to August 2020, and Scott’s very first employee, Tim Hethcote, and his wife Linda are shaking hands outside Woldruff’s Footwear & Apparel as the newest owners! Amid a pandemic, their goal was to continue to provide the same hands-on customer service, while expanding the brands and styles available. In July 2021 they opened Woldruff’s Apparel two stores down from the footwear location and added more variety in apparel and accessories. Today, both the shoe store and boutique boast the finest quality in fashion and service.
