Harvest Festival

Friday, October 7, 5 – 9 p.m.

Celebrate fall in all her glory in downtown Goshen. Fire pits, a fall fashion show, and seasonal food and drinks are all part of this crisp and festive evening.

Pumpkin decorating and a petting zoo for children round out the evening’s activities. Harvest Festival First Fridays falls at the start of Goshen College’s homecoming weekend, as well, offering additional special events at the Goshen Theater.

6 – 7 p.m.
Enjoy a fashion show on the First Fridays stage featuring unique clothing from locally-owned downtown businesses.

Los Ortega

7 – 9 p.m.
It’s impossible to stay in your seat when this six-piece band is on the stage playing dance tunes from Northern Mexico.

Starting at 6 p.m., I M SHE, Twisted Britches Boutique, Kozahz, Woldruff’s Apparel, Jules Boutique, and Salon J join forces and hit the First Fridays stage with dozens of Fall Fashion looks.

Family-Friendly Tent

Family Tent provided by Goshen HealthGoshen Health Systems is sponsoring a dedicated space for mothers and those caring for children. The tent, located on the 100 block of East Washington Street, offers private areas for nursing mothers, changing tables, and complimentary diapers and wipes. A First Fridays attendant will staff the tent to provide additional support to families.

Meet the Authors

Meet Courtney Magnuson Gomez author of Fletcher’s Big Adventures, Shannan Martin author of Start with Hello, and Judith L Roth author of Cadence and Kittenfish.

All three authors will be available to meet and sign copies of their books from 6 – 8 p.m. during October First Fridays.

Shout For Joy! Youth Choir

This is a wonderfully talented Goshen community youth choir under the direction of Sandy Hill will perform beginning at 6:30 p.m. Stop by for a short concert in our beautiful, historic sanctuary.

After the concert, you are invited to enjoy a dessert with us in our Garden Room.

Evergreen Singers Concert

Evergreen Singers will perform with us beginning at 5:30 p.m. They have been meeting weekly since 1985 and they sing secular, sacred, and Christmas music. Singers come from Greencroft Goshen as well as other areas of Elkhart County, and are open to people 50 and up.

There will be chili and drinks served for visitors to enjoy while listening to the choir. Join us!

Lavender Jazz

Step into Goshen Theater during the Harvest Festival to hear the musical stylings of Goshen College’s Lavender Jazz on the Mainstage in the Miller Auditorium! The band will play throughout the evening, starting around 6 p.m.

Grab a snack and drink at the concession stand, or try a cocktail at the bar!

Fred Hostetler

Critically acclaimed Indie recording artist and songwriter Fred Hostetler returns for a new edition of his 2017 sold out show.

The Goshen native and graduate of Goshen College has worked and performed with rock and blues legends. He now resides on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest.
