A Sweeter Song: Poetry Event

Celebrate National Poetry Month with Fables Books at the “A Sweeter Song: Poetry Event” on April 24th at 7 pm.
The event will feature Dr. Martina McGowan, author of “A Sweeter Song: Catharsis,” who will be in conversation with local poets Jenna Wysong Filbrun, Nekeisha Alayna Alexis, and Valerie Jairosi. Together, they will explore the significance of poetry as a means of self-expression, community, and experience.
The poetry event is free and open to everyone.
Audience members will have an opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with Dr. Martina McGowan and have their books signed.
Due to limited seating, we recommend pre-purchasing “A Sweeter Song: Catharsis” to reserve your seat (two seats per book purchased). Books will also be available for purchase at the event.
