CornFest | August First Fridays

It’s the return of First Fridays in Goshen! Come downtown to celebrate with friends and family in the downtown you know and love.
Cornfest is a celebration of all things corn. Cornfest features a variety of corn-based dishes, a cornhole tournament, a mechanical bull, corny kids activities, and live music! This event is always a community favorite, celebrating Hoosier culture, Mexican culture, and a shared love of corn.
This year, the event is also host to a 25-year anniversary celebration for the Electric Brew.

Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (110 South Fifth)
Join us for free hot dogs on the lawn served from 5 – 7:30 p.m., or until they run out. They are located kitty-corner from Tony’s Grill.
Electric Brew (118 East Washington)
The Brew celebrates its 25th anniversary during First Fridays! They are giving away free coffee drinks at their coffee cart on East Washington as well as raffle give-aways for amazing prizes. Stop by anytime throughout the evening.
Fables Books (215 South Main)
Between 6 and 8 p.m., meet Margaret Cook & Annette Ilowiecki, the mother-daughter author duo of Don’t They Just Set You to Dreaming? Margaret Cook also wrote When a Girl Loves a Horse, a middle-grade story about a girl who discovers her love for horses. Annette Ilowiecki’s Cowgirl’s Trail is a coming-of-age cowgirl tale perfect for teens and adults alike.
Goshen Historical Society (124 South Main)
The gift shop at the museum is offering three new publications; a reprint of the First 150 Years; the Hawks Memoir, and a picture book of Historic Homes of Goshen. Stop by during First Fridays to pick one up!
Goshen Theater (216 South Main)
For our students, your friends, and family, GET VACCINATED! Goshen Health is offering free vaccinations. No appointment needed. Ages 18 and up.
The Imagination Spot (111 East Washington)
Stop by between 5 and 8 p.m. for coloring fun with your little ones. We have coloring sheets available for you to color in our new workshop space or take a sheet home with you.
Meraki Art Company (211 South Main)
On the street in front of our new shop, you can create your own “water gun” canvas! For $20, you and/or your little human can show off your sweet water gun skills and create a unique art piece to take home! All supplies are included in the cost.
From 6 – 9 p.m. we’re offering a spray painting class on the backside of our building. For $30 you can learn some basic spray painting skills and make your own unique canvas to take home.
