April’s Goshen Gives Back First Fridays is all about community, connection, and giving back—and at Fables Books, we’re doing that the best way we know how: through stories. Join us for a special Meet the Authors event featuring three incredible writers whose works explore resilience, justice, and personal transformation.

✨ Amanda K Gross, author of White Women, Get Ready, tells the story of how we white ladies have been groomed to uphold overlapping systems of oppression, the harmful multigenerational impact, and how we can use our unique white lady positioning to help upend these violent structures.

✨ Marie Lee, author of New Beginnings, weaves a heartfelt tale of loss, second chances, and the power of love to uncover hidden truths. Maria’s life changes when she finds Adam, a boy who resembles her late son, and takes him in. With the help of investigator Robert, she uncovers his tragic past while navigating love, justice, and the possibility of a new future. New Beginnings is a poignant tale of resilience and hope.

✨ Mereidith Oswalt, author of Freed and He Chose Me, brings thrilling stories of rebellion, self-discovery, and unexpected romance. In Freed, Raegan learns there are rebels. Then they come as spies and break into her room. Will she turn them in or join them? In He Chose Me, Caterina is sent to the castle by her father. By accident, she falls in love with one of the princes. Does he love her back?
