Goshen Gives Back | November First FridaysThere’s no parade like a Goshen parade!

Downtown Goshen, Inc. proudly announces the triumphant return of a First Fridays event that illuminates the spirit and the streets of Downtown Goshen. The Goshen Light Parade, Friday, November 1 from 5-9 p.m., presents a magical procession of lighted floats and parade entries—courtesy of various local sponsors, community groups, clubs, and organizations—to create fantastic views along Main Street and spread warm, wondrous vibes throughout the community.

Prepare to be amazed by the Goshen Light Parade’s assortment of creative entries and entertaining, family-friendly presentations, and expect to check items off your holiday shopping list as participating downtown businesses—some presenting unique storefront lighting of their own—offer holiday items, seasonal sales, and in-store specials. Downtown Goshen’s great eating and drinking establishments are front-and-center with warm, hearty foods, soups, drinks, and ciders to keep First Fridays revelers nice and toasty for the parade, and an assortment of food trucks—including Hay Huey, Jake’s Food, Papa’s Dippin DonutsPinyos KitchenRulli’s Pizza, and Tropicana—provide even more amazing culinary options.

The Light Parade starts at 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of 5th and Clinton Streets. It proceeds West to Main Street, then South on Main to Jefferson Street. The parade turns East on Jefferson and will end at 5th Street. Attendees are asked, when finding spots to enjoy the parade, to PLEASE NOT BLOCK intersections or the Police Station exits.

In-store events and activities for the young, and young at heart, are also in the mix for the Goshen Light Parade, and rest assured this year’s procession will keep you on the edge of excitement. This year’s entries includes exciting and illuminating floats from The Electric BrewNuway ConstructionGreen Oaks of GoshenRobert Adam Construction, and the Goshen Parks Department.

The Froggy 102.7 Froggy Patio, an all-in-one studio and broadcast booth vehicle, makes an appearance decked out with special holiday lights, and a vehicle entry from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Elkhart County spotlights the Goshen Clubhouse program, Lights After School. The Elkhart County 911 Center dispatchers walk with their 911 banner and pass out candy to young attendees, and additional walking participants include the Goshen Dam Beer Run ClubLincoln Avenue CyclingRyan’s Place, and Waterford Elementary School.

The Goshen Light Parade also features entries from the Goshen Honor Guard, the Goshen Police Department, the Goshen Fire Department, the Goshen Street Department, and Goshen Mayor Gina Leichty.
